A mother takes her 2-year-old daughter, Lily, to a family cookout at her husband Ethan’s parents’ house. Ethan is working and plans to join later. The mother has long felt unwelcome by Ethan’s family, especially his sister-in-law Vanessa, who constantly competes and criticizes.
