I Helped a Friend Have a Baby—22 Years Later, He Demanded a Place in My Will

Years ago, I donated to a friend so she could have a baby. I watched her raise her son from a distance, with no parental claim—until he turned twenty-two.
He reached out, wanting a connection, which I politely declined. Later, he escalated, demanding a place in my will and claiming I was his father “whether I liked it or not.”
To protect my family, I cut contact, got a restraining order, and confirmed legally that I was only a donor. Sometimes, doing the right thing means enforcing boundaries—even when someone mistakes generosity for obligation.
