I noticed that our school janitor, Mr. White, always greeted everyone with a warm smile. One afternoon, I saw some students making fun of his worn-out shoes, which were held together with duct tape.<\/p>\n
I couldn’t stand by and watch. When I learned he wore the same size as me, I took off my sneakers and gave them to him.<\/p>\n
At first, he refused, but eventually he accepted them with tears in his eyes. He told me his daughter was seriously ill and promised he would repay me someday.<\/p>\n
