A family I knew invited me to join them on vacation to help watch their kids while they took some time to explore the area. The accommodations were cozy, and the kids were well-behaved. They had their own rooms, and I slept on the couch in the living room. Everything was going smoothly; the kids went to bed early, and I had the evenings to myself.
