I noticed my older brother, Robert<\/strong>, a 65-year-old Navy vet<\/strong>, had been acting strangely.<\/p>\n

Normally, he\u2019s the life of our gatherings\u2014telling sea stories, making everyone laugh. But for the last month, he\u2019d become reserved\u2026 almost paranoid.<\/p>\n

He wouldn\u2019t sit with his back to the window. He started checking the locks\u2014twice, sometimes three times\u2014before going to bed.<\/p>\n

Last weekend, during a family dinner, he pulled me aside and whispered:<\/p>\n

I smiled, assuming he was being dramatic.

A man in military fatigues<\/strong> had entered his yard.
He moved with precision\u2014quiet, calm.
Then\u2014just as quickly\u2014he disappeared behind the trees<\/strong> and never came back.<\/p>\n

At 3:23 AM, my phone buzzed again.
It was a call from Robert.<\/p>\n

His voice was trembling.<\/p>\n
