Dad?\u201d<br data-start=\"95\" data-end=\"98\" \/>I found her outside the bathroom. \u201cI\u2019m worried flushing the toilet will wake you up,\u201d she said.<br data-start=\"193\" data-end=\"196\" \/>I pointed out that I <em data-start=\"217\" data-end=\"222\">was<\/em> already awake\u2014because <em data-start=\"245\" data-end=\"250\">she<\/em> had called me.<br data-start=\"265\" data-end=\"268\" \/>She just shrugged, did her business, and went back to bed.<br data-start=\"326\" data-end=\"329\" \/>Meanwhile, I tossed and turned for an hour trying to fall back asleep.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"401\" data-end=\"420\">Six is a wild ride.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"422\" data-end=\"557\">I spent so much time narrating life to my firstborn as a baby to help his language skills, and now he narrates everything back\u2014nonstop.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"559\" data-end=\"608\">But honestly, it\u2019s worth it for the gems I get:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"781\">\n<li data-start=\"609\" data-end=\"637\">\n<p data-start=\"611\" data-end=\"637\">\u201cI have troubling news.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"638\" data-end=\"691\">\n<p data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"691\">\u201cI\u2019m available to play when you have spare time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"692\" data-end=\"735\">\n<p data-start=\"694\" data-end=\"735\">\u201cWell, that\u2019s just so on and so forth.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"736\" data-end=\"781\">\n<p data-start=\"738\" data-end=\"781\">And my favorite: <em data-start=\"755\" data-end=\"781\">\u201cAy, ay, ay, the drama!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"822\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Parenting is exhausting.
