The forbidden closet was practically <em data-start=\"546\" data-end=\"555\">calling<\/em> my name.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"566\" data-end=\"815\">Inside, I found a small, neatly wrapped box tied with old twine. I hesitated, then opened it. Inside was a soft velvet pouch. I untied it\u2014and discovered a single human tooth and a tiny, yellowed note that simply read:<br data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"786\" \/><strong data-start=\"786\" data-end=\"815\">\u201cDo not lose this again.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"817\" data-end=\"982\">I was shaken. I stared at it for a good minute, wondering if I\u2019d just stepped into a horror film. When my girlfriend returned, I came clean immediately.
