My Husband Didn’t Let Me Open the Car Trunk for Days — When I Finally Did It Late at Night, I Almost Screamed

My mother-in-law complained that every expensive gift I bought my wife should have been bought for her too… so I gave her exactly what she asked for.
My wife Jane loved unusual things—crystals, butterfly displays, even a glass skull.
But her mother Celia always complained.
When I gave Jane a diamond bracelet, Celia said, “What about me?”
When Jane got a designer handbag, Celia complained again.
Then Jane got a tarantula.
That’s when I had an idea.
I ordered Celia her very own tarantula—with a terrarium, food, care instructions, and one gift note:
“Since you always want what Jane gets… enjoy.”
Twenty-seven minutes after the package arrived, my phone exploded.
“WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”
Celia was screaming.
“You sent me a GIANT HAIRY SPIDER!”
I calmly replied, “I thought you wanted the same gifts I give my wife.”
She hung up.
Later, my wife Jane heard what happened…
And instead of getting angry, she burst out laughing.
Celia never demanded “equal gifts” again.
Sometimes, the best revenge isn’t expensive.
It’s giving someone exactly what they asked for.
