Get Off at the Next Stop”

It started with a text from an unknown number:
“Don’t trust the man in the gray coat.”

I was boarding a train from Prague to Berlin. I looked around, heart racing — and there he was. A man in a gray trench coat, staring right at me.

I tried to ignore it. Probably spam, right?

Ten minutes into the ride, the train suddenly stopped in the middle of nowhere. The lights flickered. Then someone knocked on the window beside me — from outside.

It was a woman. She held up a handwritten sign: “He knows who you are. Get off at the next stop.”

The man in the gray coat stood up and began walking down the aisle… slowly. His eyes never left mine.

I didn’t wait. As soon as the doors opened, I ran.

I still don’t know who they were. Or how they knew me. But I haven’t taken public transport since.

Sometimes, warnings don’t come with explanations. Just trust your gut.Get Off at the Next Stop”
