Michelle Obama recently addressed rumors of a split from Barack Obama during an episode of Work in Progress with Sophia Bush. Now an “empty nester,” Michelle said she’s enjoying a new chapter where she can finally prioritize herself.
“It’s whatever I want,” she said, explaining that her independence has sparked speculation. “People couldn’t fathom that I was making a choice for myself, so they assumed my husband and I are divorcing.”
Rumors were fueled by her absence from some public events and a bizarre tabloid claim linking Jennifer Aniston to Barack — which Aniston flatly denied.
Michelle made it clear: she’s embracing life on her own terms, not ending her marriage.
