Never knew this

In a quiet kitchen filled with morning light, Claire and Mark faced off for the hundredth time over… butter.
“It’s not safe,” Claire insisted, scooping the golden slab into a dish and heading for the fridge.
“My grandma kept it out her whole life,” Mark countered, sliding the dish back onto the counter like a well-practiced chess move.
They stared at each other—she, the cautious scientist; he, the nostalgic traditionalist.
That weekend, Claire read an article. “Salted butter,” she muttered, “is actually safe… for a few days.”
On Monday morning, Mark woke to find a small, lidded butter dish on the table with a note:
“Team Compromise. Just a few days’ worth. Clean the dish. Keep it cool.”
He smiled. Their butter was soft, their toast perfect, and peace reigned in the kitchen at last.
