I Spent Hours Preparing for a Baby Shower—Only to Be Uninvited the Night Before

I cooked for hours — enough food for fifty guests.
It was my friend’s baby shower, and I wanted everything to be perfect.

Then, the night before, she texted:

“Sorry, there’s not enough space. You can still drop off the food though.”

I just stared at my phone.
She wanted my effort — not my presence.

So I replied, calmly:

“Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to bring the food either.”

The next day, they ran out of food.
And I felt… peace.

Because friendship isn’t about convenience — it’s about respect.
Never let your kindness cost your dignity.
People who value you will want you there, not just what you bring. ❤️
