Luke, a spoiled 15-year-old boy, loses his temper at a near-blind bakery assistant named Madison after she mistakenly packs the wrong pastry. He insults her harshly, unaware that his father, Steve—a successful lawyer—is witnessing everything.
Disturbed by his son’s behavior, Steve decides to teach him a lesson. Instead of a luxurious summer vacation, Steve forces Luke to work at a diner for a month. There, Luke quickly learns how exhausting customer service can be and begins to reflect on his actions.
Eventually, Luke apologizes to Madison in person and even starts working at her bakery, forming an unexpected friendship. He later discovers she’s a talented artist struggling to afford eye surgery that could restore her vision.
Touched by her situation, Luke asks his dad to help. Steve agrees, and after the successful surgery, Madison gets a new job at an art gallery—thanks to Steve’s connections.
