Viral Claims About Steve Harvey Being Fired Are False

Viral social media posts claiming that television host Steve Harvey was fired from Family Feud following a controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey are false, according to multiple fact-checks.

The claims originated from a paid Facebook advertisement that directed users to a fake CNN-style website, not affiliated with CNN. The article falsely alleged that Harvey made an on-air confession, angered Oprah Winfrey, and was immediately dismissed by ABC executives.

No such interview ever took place, and ABC has issued no statement regarding any disciplinary action against Harvey. Oprah Winfrey has not recently interviewed Harvey, and none of the quotes attributed to her, ABC executives, or Harvey’s family are real.

Investigations show the fabricated article was part of a celebrity endorsement scam designed to promote unverified CBD gummy products. Steve Harvey has never endorsed CBD supplements, nor has he promoted the company mentioned in the fake report.

Similar scams have previously used the names of high-profile celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey, and have been repeatedly debunked by fact-checking organizations.

Steve Harvey remains the host of Family Feud, and reports of his firing are entirely untrue.
