I Was Fired for an Act of Kindness… and the “Lucky Box” She Gave Me Changed My Life Forever

While working at a bakery, I helped a young mother in need by giving her some milk for her sick baby. She left me a small wooden box with a note and a bracelet, calling it a “lucky box.” My boss saw this act and fired me for being “stupid.”
A few days later, I called the number inside the box and was offered a job at a family-run café. It became a stable, supportive place for me. The bracelet reminds me that kindness may not return immediately or in obvious ways—but it always finds its way back.
