Claim About Erika Kirk Being Involved in Child Trafficking Debunked
Following the killing of Charlie Kirk, CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA, rumors began circulating online accusing his widow, Erika Kirk, of involvement in child trafficking in Romania. These claims alleged that a charitable initiative linked to her nonprofit, Everyday Heroes Like You, was banned from Romania due to trafficking accusations.
According to Snopes, these allegations are false. The project in question, known as Romanian Angels, focused on supporting Romanian orphans by sending letters and gifts and organizing visits from U.S. military members. No credible evidence has been found linking Erika Kirk or her organization to child trafficking.
Snopes reported that newspaper articles and online materials shared as supposed proof did not mention Erika Kirk or indicate any trafficking activity. As a result, the claims circulating on social media were determined to be baseless rumors with no factual support.
