Mum labeled a “monster” for lasering port-wine stain birthmark on her baby’s face after birth
A mother named Brooke Atkins from Australia gave birth to a baby boy named Kingsley in 2022. Kingsley was born with port-wine stain birthmarks covering half of his face, including the area near his eye.
Doctors warned that birthmarks in that location could lead to serious health problems, including glaucoma (which can cause blindness) and Sturge-Weber syndrome, a rare neurological condition.
