Recently, photo editor Emily Elsie raised fresh questions on Instagram, comparing Trump’s appearance after the 2024 assassination attempt to recent photos, highlighting dramatic shifts in skin tone.
Initially blaming lighting and photo editing, Elsie now suspects stress and makeup play a bigger role. She noted that Trump’s makeup intensified during his presidency, especially under pressure. “The more stressed Trump is, the more makeup appears,” she said, adding his look softens when he’s away from the spotlight.
A turning point came after the June 2024 debate with Biden — when Trump’s bronzer seemingly vanished as polls favored him. Now, Elsie claims his makeup has returned stronger — even on his hands — and urges people to take his changing appearance seriously, not just mock it.
Trump’s team has attributed the discoloration to factors like handshaking or health issues such as chronic venous insufficiency, but questions remain.
