Diana, already struggling with depression, is devastated when she thinks she catches her husband, Hamilton, kissing her sister, Evie. Convinced of their betrayal, she confronts Hamilton, but he denies it, insisting she’s imagining things due to stress. Diana seeks help from her therapist, Dr. Carrey, who tries to ease her fears but encourages her to confront her suspicions.
In a desperate attempt to find answers, Diana invites Hamilton and Evie over for dinner, where she poisons them, believing they betrayed her. Afterward, Diana becomes consumed by guilt and confusion, realizing that her hallucinations were a result of her grief and guilt over the tragic death of Hamilton and Evie in a car accident two years earlier. She was the sole survivor, unable to save them or their unborn child.
With Dr. Carrey’s help, Diana begins to accept the truth and let go of her guilt. A year later, Diana seems to have moved on, but as she leaves Dr. Carrey’s office, she is seen holding an invisible baby, signaling that her healing process may still have a long way to go.
