David W. Harper, best known for playing Jim-Bob Walton on The Waltons, chose a quiet and private life after the show ended. Born in Texas in 1961, Harper started acting young and gained fame through his role as the tech-loving youngest Walton sibling.
After The Waltons wrapped up in the late ’90s, Harper stepped away from Hollywood. He pursued education and later worked outside the spotlight, even taking a job as a delivery driver alongside his former co-star Eric Scott.
Harper remained close to family, cared for his father during illness, and now enjoys a peaceful life filled with music, faith, and puzzles. Although he keeps to himself, fans still remember him fondly. A possible memoir may soon offer deeper insight into his unique journey from fame to simplicity.
