š½ļø A Waitress Mocked My Grandmaās TipāHereās How I Responded

On what wouldāve been my grandparentsā 50th anniversary, my widowed grandma Doris left a 20% tipāall she could afford. Instead of kindness, the waitress mocked her for being ācheapā and āalone at her age.ā
The next day, I returned with a photographer friend. We ordered big, then handed the waitress an envelope filled with notes:
⦠āSheās a widow, not a wallet.ā
⦠āYou should be ashamed.ā
⦠āKarmaās coming.ā
The restaurant fired her the next morning and invited my grandma back, honoring her and my late grandpa with flowers and kindness.
As we left, Grandma whispered, āHe was there, I could feel him.ā šāØ
